rTorrent + RuTorrent + RSS plugin addon
I would like to request rTorrent + RuTorrent + RSS plugin.
Looks like uTorrent, it seems to me that this would be the best frontend for rTorrent and the best client bit-torrent.

1. RPC - a plug-in for linking rtorrent and a web server. (Replacement for mod_scgi).

6. RSS - realizes operations with RSS-feeds.
10. cookies - allows to define a set of cookies for trackers which use such method of authorization.
14. datadir - allows to change the torrent's data directory.
21. Diskspace -- Shows remaining space on the bottom bar in an easy to read fashion.
23. _getdir Plugin -- this plugin helps rutorrent find and render directories.
25. Chunks -- This plugin shows info on torrent pieces (which pieces have downloaded).
3. darkpal - A ruTorrent Theme with dark colors designed to burn your eyes.
12. scheduler - allows to change speed limitations of downloads/uploads depending on hour of the day and day of the week.
18. Show_peers_like_wtorrent - changes the format of values in "Seeds" and "Peers" columns of the torrents list.
22. Unpack -- Unrars and Unzips downloaded torrents.

- any other development being done on this app ? it really kicks ass i love this add on but it has a few minor bugs here n there ... i would love to see a polished end result. I use this app every day now lol so much better then transmissions (my opinion) .
Only bugs ive ran into :
Settings ( and torrents ) not being saved over service restart ... then again u never really restart the service unless u make it crash...
Rss Loader is tossing strange errors adding feeds from random sites ( having nailed this one down yet ) Eg: i can add a feed from BMTV but if i add a feed from broadcastthenet it errors on add
Authentication - a must now day ( easy fix of course ) i just dont know how to implement it on this nas lol
defualt port settings need to be changed (easy fix as well )
Other then those minor bugs it runs flawless ( love it) ... great to say its in BETA stages... just by the amount of views this thread has im sure its got an audience :( please dont give up on it :cry: we need ur expertise...
Thanx for making this work tho... apps like this are y im glad i went readynas makes my life so much easier - I haven't forgotten about it. It's just that my normal job keeps my quite busy at the moment. But I'm working on new beta version so stay tuned ;)

Tried Torrentflux, stopped working after a while, and can´t get it going again
Tried Transmission, successfully downloaded one torrent, then it refused to work again - rutorrent worked almost flawless i used it for months cant wait to get the beta back def donating when final release hits ... its SOO worth it lol only issues i had were with rss feed parsing on some sites .... watch dir worked perfect ... lol just download the torrent to the curresponding watch folder .... come back and my downloads were done and waiting in the right folder... AWESOME add on ... like i said cant live with out it now ...
im almost on a torrent boycott lol im to lazy to download on my home comp and move to the right spot on the nas .... and i rather not even use the other torrent clients for readynas...just waiting for the magic response lol :( - anyway to spark some movement on this app ... these other clients r so limited :( im personally going to put money into the development of this would love a finalized release (hell even the beta at this point lol)

Would not mind testing Automatic, but i'm using DUO V2 and im unable to find a install file for my ReadyNAS version.

*ruTorrent 3.3 (+rtorrent 0.8.6) [Sparc] <<< for the dou ..... i dont have a duo so im not 100% if v2 is a new ARM version or just a secound edition of the orignal duos .... if its sparc based whocares already has a add-on he created for it

The only hiccup ive ran into is sometimes after a reinstall of the app u need to set the ports again or the config file wont let rtorrent start ( no ports). so always click the button to set ur ports after an install.
Memory usage is INCREDIBLE ,Full Plugins included .. from auto tools to ipad plugin ... the client ROCKS
Meaning:
Rss options
Watch dir .. which downloads in correspounding folder (IE: u download Newmovie.torrent to "/c/watch/movies/" its download to "/c/media/movies/Newmovie") No more waiting to move data files to stop seeding or anything like that .. it will download to the correct location from START so u can seed forever (if u desire)
Cookies ( all RSS feeds r possible )
Media info
Labels ( categorize ur torrents by dir, tracker name, ... which ever u prefer on torrent load)
ipad plugin ( will load perfect on tablets )
list goes on and on .... u dont realize how limited ur torrent client is untill u use a full featured one.. check it out n give it a try - ALSO: For thoes who want Authentication on ur RUTORRENT
Everythings already there and in place for Auth, on ur nas u just need to tell it the Path u want to add the authentication to ... if ur intrested these r the files and the code u need to edit:
(Be very Carefull... unless u know what you are doing i wouldnt disturb any other files )**
you will need to telnet into ur nas , the path we are looking for is :/etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf
This is a config file for various thing in apache, again i wouldnt disturb any other lines then the lines specified
( as this is perfectly safe)
In this file (near the end) you should find this line of code ( if rutorrent is installed)Alias /rutorrent /c/.rutorrent

Allow from all

This line simply tells apache to add the alias /rutorrent to ur webserver and that it points to the folder "/c/.rutorrent" ( where ur rutorrent files r stored)
Eg. http://Nas_Web_server/rutorrent points to were we want it to and give it a few options
our problem is one of the options "Allow from all" ... gives open access to the alias (anyone can see it and use it).
We are going to add a few lines to incorperate the security the nas already has built in and used on other alias into our rutorrent alias, we are going to replace that code with :
Alias /rutorrent /c/.rutorrent
<Location /rutorrent>

Include /etc/frontview/apache/Auth.conf
AuthName "Control Panel"
require user admin

This is the same level of security u find on your nas admin front panel, a simple https secure login based on the users already created on the nas .
Break down:Include /etc/frontview/apache/Auth.conf
AuthName "Control Panel"
Include the security information the nas already uses ( usernames and passwords permissions ect.... we dont wanna set this up were to lazy :P its already done ...)require user admin
login info must match "user" or "admin" group
Restart ur nas after the mod (apache needs to restart) and your set.
when u access (nas)/rutorrent you will be prompted for a name and pass ( same name and pass u use on ur nas)
Very simple mod , little security goes a long way ;) more so with torrents - What's the status on the ARM variant... DUO V2???
