Setting up a Cross Compiler for x86
Hi all, I'd like to set up a ReaduNas Ultra x86 cross compiler in a Linux laptop in order to compile programs for my ReadyNas. Which debian version i have to install i386 or ia64 in the laptop. ...

You don't need a cross compiler to build code for the x86 ReadyNAS boxes. An easier approach would be to install a debootstrapped version of Debian etch and enrich that with the GPL code from Netgear. Then you could build stuff by ssh'ing into the debootstrapped etch system right on your notebook. The only limitation would be kernel modules for even the debootstrapped etch would run on whatever kernel the base Linux on your notebook uses.
