Transmission installation problem

Alright, i entered the two command lines separately, but i got no confirmation of any kind, am i supposed to get one? If not then i'll move on to trying to reinstall transmission.

Also, when i first installed transmission (I had it installed once first before i uninstalled it and tried installing it again when the problems started occur) i had a hard time installing it and starting it. The loading indicator just kept loading for hours without anything happening, both when trying to install it and start it. Due to various happenings/coincidences it eventually installed and eventually started. Other add-ons i've tried install, start, and stop almost instantly, so it seems very odd.
