Pity, i'd love for my Cisco VT Advantage II cam (which is an oem branded Logitech 5000) to work. i googled that as well and found someone on a ubuntu forum -> http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-913832.html
I know i used to have some crappy logitech quickcam lying around but i'll be damned if i can find it. must have given it to my brother or something...
