- michelefacciniAspirantI supposed unlike a utorrent windows installation, where the port setting and so on are set up in automatic,in this case this has to be done manually ? My question is simple : after the add-on installation, is it normal not to be able to access to the gui (without any utserver configuration settings) ? The page which comes out is 'Loading....' is there anybody out there ?
- michelefacciniAspirantI hope I'm not going to be the only one that read/post a reply at this thread ! Actually I'm hosting my website and have some users that can access remotely to my ReadyNas Ultra 2 Plus without problems...that means my ports are correctly set (even if I'm far away to be an expert...).I wish I could receive an answer : after the utorrent 1.8 add-on installation (the link for the 2.0 version is broken),as I wrote above I can't start the gui....'Loading...' and 'Loading...' that's all....is there any step by step procedure (eventually built for people who are not expert and don't pretend to be ? I regret a lot that my purchase wasn't a Synology....and I wonder how Netgear can survive with these poor products !

Some addons also require a PHP addon to be installed first, although I don't know if this applies to uT as I have never used it. On the rare occurrences I've used torrents, I used Transmission instead. - michelefacciniAspirantFirst thanks for your answer....I have PHP add-on installed (if this could eventually matter)...uTorrent 1.8 is not an official add-on so I imagine that who created it is not at all obliged to give any further info or to publish an installation guide for non expert users.I'm quite wondered that the most used Peer to Peer application is not,by default, already installed on Netgear products and that it seems this argument doesn't interest the forum's users......I will wait some other answers and if nobody can help me,I will try transmission...
