Do note that you can't migrate your disks from the v1 to the v2 due to the different RAID format. So do make sure you're getting what you think you are. See How to tell whether I have a Duo v1 or Duo v2 or NV+ v1 or NV+ v2
Well I figured I'd take one drive out and let it get set up and then push across like with rsync that I know shouldn't be too bad as long as I'm local. I've got 2x 2TB's and a 1.5TB so I can prep it and then move the others over after users and data is up and running. I'd probably do the same if I went to the ultra devices. I'd assume as long as they are on the same subnet they can just point to the name of nas2 and select folders that way as well.
That's the cheapest way I can go without pushing up from pc and back down to a new nas(at least that's the way I'm thinking right now).
When I do buy the nas I'm going to get it from amazon or newegg , so I think I'm in the green as long as I check the version ids listed (and they have good return if they screw up and send me the wrong ones  ).
