There is nothing automatic with jbod. You need to move some shares manually to the second disk. Otherwise it will never be used.
Create the share with a temporary name, and use the built-in backup to copy the files. Make sure you match the permissions and protocols configured for the original share. When that is complete, delete the original, and rename the new one with the original name.
