4.2.21, Samsung TV and DLNA

Hi,

I recently upgraded my ReadyNAS Pioneer Pro NAS (x86) to version 4.2.21 of the firmware/OS, but I get what can be described as a beaconing issue... Every few minutes the Samsung TV 46"displays a message that says that the drive is ready to be connected - and it is- but a few minutes later it brings up the same message. What changed with the 4.2.21 version that brings up this message.

How do I turn it off?

Thanks
Laszlo

  • I'll see this every now and then with my TV as well. It will not see the NAS in the source menu and then a few minutes later it pops up in the lower right hand corner asking if you want to connect to it. I did notice if you don't connect right away that it sill won't show in the menu and sometimes repeats this behavior even after power cycling the TV.

I'm not sure this fixed it entirely yet. But here is what I did: Go to Frontview, Services, Streaming Servcies and click re-scan. I'm still running 1.0.24.5 and haven't bothered upgrading to .25 at this point but so far I have not seen it pop up repeatedly. I also saw in another post where someone had to replace their router to fix their issue, but that may not be your case. In short, it seems to be hit or miss for most of us. I should note this only happens to my 2011 Samsung as my 2010 Samsung always connects with no issue.
