Can you do what? The solution I pointed to for the fan and CPU temperature issue is done via SSH after the unit is updated.
The updates have been coming so fast and furious that I've been hesitant to update to 6.7.4 on legacy equipment (which is all but one of my NASes). I'm sure Netgear has not had time or resources to fully test each one on every legacy platform and there has been no beta testing. I've only updated my Pro2 "sandbox" system. 6.7.2 worked perfectly. You can only go downgrade by preforming a factory reset and using a USB key with the firmware version you want. (I've had to do this twice since owning this NAS for four years) But doing this you'll loose all of your data on your hard drive.
