Access Transmission Web from local network with no password?

Since the post is over 4 months old without a reply, I don't think there are to much people who know a solution.
You might work around the problem if you use a remote client that can save the password. There are several clients shown here for most platforms, including mobile ones.
If you don't want that, then you might be able to make a password-protected frontpage which either forwards you to the webGUI if you've got the right IP or asks a un/pw.
