I too use Transmission Remote on my PC, the problem is I'm forced to use the web UI on my iPhone and iPad as there are no Transmission apps for iOS, at least none that I’m aware of without Jailbreaking.
I’m wondering if I can have a second instance of the Web UI on the ReadyNAS that is configured to use no username or password and run that on a different port, that way I can have a bookmark for the ‘internal’ web UI and a password protected instance that is externally visible. I’m not sure if running two instances of the Web UI is possible?
