Adding 3TB drive on RN104 - Taking more than 30 hours
Hi All, Simple question (i think) Is it normal to expect that the additon of a drive to a readynas would take 30-???? hours to "rebuild" I bought the NAS on Saturday and placed 1 3TB drive in...
Well that's the thing, I have no idea if it actually is resyncing or if its just hung- trying to access the admin page or even browse files gives me "the device is offline" errors. Ignoring those errors shows me the device, but the only info that populates is its reported time, and the only options available are Shutdown and Restart. So I went with troubleshooting 101, "Have you tried turning it off and on again". If a resync will continue after a shutdown I might pull the power if it hasn't resolved itself by tomorrow. If the raidar info is a known issue I figure I'll give it at least that long. Any idea how long a 2x2tb Raid 1 should take to rebuild to a 4x2tb raid 5?
