6.2.x is stable and I ran it on my 516 for quite a while till I decided to run 6.3.x
The 100 series lockup thread is a separate issue and is not what you're seeing.
I would like to see if 6.2.3 helps you or if the improved logging in 6.2.3 gives some clues as to what is happening on your system.
