Advantages of ReadyNAS RND2000 over Synology DS212?

We'll see if this is allowed, but the Synology units are massively better than the entry-level Netgear units. This is especially true comparing with the older SPARC-based devices. RND2000-100 is v1 (sparc) and -200 is v2 (ARM). The v2 is much better than the v1, but the Synology software is simply superior to both. I'd take the 212 any day.

It's a little harder with DS212 vs Ultra2, then you have to decide between pure hardware power and build quality (Ultra, by far) or software features/slickness (DS, also by far).
