Alternative LMS(squeezeserver) configurations
For at least 5 years, I have been running a readynas NV (NV+ less the LCD) (now with a pair of 2TB seagates) with squeezeserver to my squeezebox v3 connected to my old-school Marantz 7001 amplifier. ...
The interface is generated dynamically by the LMS software, based on database queries and whatnot. With the slower processor in the NV, this is why the slow interface response is experienced. Especially if any transcoding has to be done in realtime from one format to another.
If you need the Business features of the Pro, then go with the Pro. Otherwise, I'd opt for an Ultra Plus model, as they have similar specs... unless the Pro models are just cheaper than the Ultra Plus models.
