Update: Bizarrely (at least from my POV), if I change the "Share folder owner" setting to 'TestUser' the share becomes accessible without any credentials??? And in case anyone's wondering, I've dbl checked the credential manager and deleted ANY reference to the NAS and also performed the cmdline "net use /delete *" to rid of any saved credentials...
