I have the same issue. The NAS is on a domain. Using Win7 64bit. If the logged in users account doesn't have permissions to a folder on the NAs they are not prompted for a login simily get this error:
"You do not have permission to access [THE SERVER FOLDER PATH NAME]. Contact your network administrator to request access."
