Antivirus false positives
Since 1 hour I get a lot of messages that the following threat has been found: Ppt.Exploit.CVE_2017_0199-6336815-1. If I google on it it seems to be a Trojan and I have the impression this is a recent thread. If I look at the files which are infected according to the RN628X I see that there are also a lot of old files and also files I created myself (Excel and Word) seems to be infected. This infection is not found on my PC and as such I doubt this is a real detection. Any advise on how I can make sure if the files are infected? I used Windows Defender to scan the files and nothing was found on the files that the RN628X says that contain a threat.

We have the same issue since yesterday, after recent antivirus database update. Now updated from 6.8OS to 6.8.1 to see if this somehow will correct the issue. In addition, i sent two examples to the Avast laboratory yesterday, but no feedback so far.
Ppt.Exploit.CVE_2017_0199-6336815-1 affect only the office documents with extensions .docx and .xlsx

Thank you Marty_M,
apparently after the update to OS6.8.1, no such threats occur anymore.
My problem is solved.
Thanks!
