Backup capability btw Readynas Duo NV+ v2 and RN10200-100AJ
Hi,
Currently I backing up my Readynas Duo NV+ v2 to 2 separate usb drives. I am considering purchasing a RN10200-100AJS to do my backups to.
Can I use rsync btw Duo NV+ and the RN10200?
Also, if the NAS drives are on the same network will the data transferred between them (when backing up with Rsync) only be within the network and not go out via the internet and then back?
Thanks
Johk

Here is a article showing Backup from a Sparc v1 NAS to OS6.
I accept you have a v2, but this might give you ideas.

Regards, Marto - johkAspirantThanks guys,
The reason I ask is that I read somewhere that you can't use rsync btw an older version of readynas and a newer ( in this case the newer was Duo NV+ v2 ).

You can, and I do. My RN102 is used for backup from my OS4 system.johk wrote: Thanks guys,
