Those prices are more in line. It would be nice if there was a link between the Enterprise and Home sites/prices. Looking at the Vault site, there is no clear reference to the other price plans for Home use.

Using the FrontView Backup Manager won't work. It would need an add-on that knows how to talk to cloud providers.

Thanks for the answer. I hope a future firmware update would allow that with the fast growing cloud solutions.

There are many cloud backup solutions. We currently have ReadyNAS Vault as an option and there are third-parties that make add-ons that work with our NAS for a cloud backup solution. There are some (like crashplan) that you can install yourself on some platforms if you have some rudimentary linux skills. Also, there are some services that support FTP and RSYNC.The problem here is that there are lots of cloud solutions, and while they offer similar services they are not compatible at all - and they use custom software that was developed for a Mac or Windows PC. So a single update won't do the trick. Over time, these services will consolidate and standardize - then it will be easier for both manufacturers and consumers.

Backup to google drive. Is it at all possible ?

Hello people,

I'm a "happy" owner of a RND4000-100EUS (sparc) which is working fairly.

However, I'd be happy to backup some data on google drive but for some reason my backups tasks aren't saving anything on the cloud.

Here is the config I made :

Destination :

Though, when I run the backup, the tasks starts and stops immediately, and nothing has been backed up.

Do anyone happen to know which settings I should apply, or is it just not possible to backup on the cloud ?

Thanks for the feedback. Links are coming (possibly a wholesale switchover, as the cloudr site show both business and personal plans).

We are just testing out the site for functionality at the moment but will be integrating these plans alongside the business plans shortly. For the moment, all are welcome to utilize them...
