The BIOS version is the date for legacy x86 ReadyNAS. 07/26/2010 is the latest version for your NAS.

So why is the BIOS version # 080014 exactly the same even though the dates of the BIOS ("10/03/2008" and "07/26/2010") are different?

Not sure on that. That would be a question for the hardware engineers.
But the date is the way to tell which version you have. That one from 07/26/2010 is the latest.
