Bit rot protection error within /var/log/journal/0/system.journal and cannot correct

Question

Hi !&nbsp;I just got this message on&nbsp; my RN 4220;Bit rot protection has detected an error within /var/log/journal/00d31b31fed446b688b7867645788512/system.journal and cannot correct the error.&nbsp;should I be worried ?&nbsp;the raid seems fine, all disk are green. no other errors reported.&nbsp;Any input would be appreciated.&nbsp;// Aj

Which firmware are you running?That looks odd. That's a log that's rotated after a period of time. I wouldn't have thought it should have bit-rot protection on it.

That's very old firmware.

Do you have a backup?

I'd suggest getting&nbsp;your volume usage down to about 80-85% then updating to 6.6.0.

hi!&nbsp;&nbsp;no, not able to do it yet. We are moving all equipment in a few weeks and I hope it will run ok until then.&nbsp;After that I will be able to redo/update the NAS.&nbsp;// AJ
