Blue Light Flashes 4 Times
Hi
I have been given a RN1022 but when I power it on the blue power light flashes 4 times and the box powers off.
Currently it had 2 X 1tb drives in it but I want to replace these with 2 x 2t...

Another option is to remove the existing disks, and power up the NAS. Then install RAIDar on a PC and use it to examine the NAS status.

I cant see the nas in raidar when I have it on the network either with disks in or what but what I have just noticed the power supply that came with the box is not a netgear one and is rated at 12v 1amp, - perhaps this is the problem.

it should be 5 amps @ 12 volts (60 watts). If you google, you can find other replacement supplies and do a risk-buy on one.
Or go back to the person who gave it to you, and get the right power brick.
