Can you explain the usecase a bit more?
-will you both be using the same Windows PC to access the NAS? If so, do you use separate windows accounts?
-does she need remote (over the internet) access to the NAS?
Setting up the account in the NAS is easy to do, but if you are sharing the same windows log on it won't work out well (due to the way Windows manages network shares).

Hello Tatanss,
If you are referring to local user account which means accessing the NAS shares locally via Windows explorer or mapping the NAS IP on Mac or Windows, yes you can add users. Doing this allows you to set permissions on each share if you wish some users be blocked from getting in to one (or more) of the shares. The admin account that has access to the admin page and all shares is just one and that is "admin" with the password that you have set with it. Please see How do I configure local users mode on my ReadyNAS OS 6 storage system? and How do I set network access rights to shared folders on my ReadyNAS OS 6 storage system? articles.
In case you are referring to ReadyCloud account which allows you to access the NAS shares remotely, like when you are away from the network where the NAS is, yes you can add multiple users too. That is by enabling the ReadyCloud feature in the admin page using one main ReadyCloud account. Once it is enabled and you login to readycloud.netgear.com using the main ReadyCloud account, you should be able to add or invite multiple users to access the NAS shares. Please see ReadyCLOUD: Allowing share access for remote users article.
Welcome to the community!
I hope this helps you.

Sorry, I will try to be more specific.... I have one NAS at home (living in China for the last 4 years) and I want my wife and I to have different accounts to access our NAS through internet. We travel very often and we both need to download and upload information from different cities at the same time...As long as I know, "Users" just can Download Information from NAS.
I´m a newby and I really aprecciate all you help and time. Specialy to JennC and StephenB
Thanks again
