Can no longer write to External USB drive on ReadyNAS 314
I Can no longer write to External USB drive on ReadyNAS 314. Using version 6.2.4, and I have had a 4TB drive hooked up for a year now without problems. Even in the Shares tab I cannot delete, cut, nor paste files. I have network access in Security for SMB to read/write for everyone, but there is nothing in File access. Neither Mac, nor W7/W10/XP can write. All can read. NFS shows AnyHost with all access; but there is nothing in the File Access, either.
Please help. This is (one place) where I keep backups of the RAID contents. I have no problems accessing the RAID shares/volumes. I think things may have gotten messed up when I upgraded the W7 boxes to W10, but that does not explain the problems I have on the Mac with OS X 10.10.5.
Thank you.
.... And I did. Re-booting the PC allowed me to access, create, etc. The Mac did not require it.
Thank you.

Sounds like the filesystem on the USB disk may have been marked as dirty and hence it has gone read-only. You could connect the USB disk up to a PC and repair it using that.

Thank you. That allowed me to edit existing files, and to delete from "FrontView". However, I can no longer create folders, nor files from the PC. However, the Mac can do it. I will pursue this more later.
