Can only use 100MBit instead of 1Gbit

Have posted this before but at the risk of over-repetition...
I've had 2 GS608 units - both "failed" in that I got a mysterious slow down on my network though otherwise everything was 100% functional. Never noticed that any equipment was running at 100MBit instead of 1Gb, but definitely hit an undiagnosable slow down and ultimately moved to the GS108 which fixed the issue instantly and has been reliable so far.
The reason I've posted this before is that is appears others have experienced similar and I get the feeling the GS608 is not the most reliable of equipement (though admittedly the sample size I'm going on is small)
