Cannot access files in shares over NFS
Hi I'm trying to access my the shares on my ReadyNAS 104 from my media player (Popcorn Hour). Both are connected via a Netgear WNDR3700 and the network setup is fine. I can also access the files in...
Just an update on this guys - after lots of testing and going round in circles I finally found the route cause. In short, I was sure that the issue was with the ReadyNAS because I could not play the files in the NFS shares on two different Popcorn Hours. I ended up bringing the ReadyNAS into work to let a Linux expert look at it and lo and behold, it worked fine.
So, what else could it be? Both of the Popcorn Hours and the ReadyNAS were connected through a Netgear WNDR3700 router\switch, so I just got myself a basic ZyXEL 10/100 switch, set everything to static IP and connected everything to it. It all worked fine!!
Now the hunt begins - what the hell can be causing this on the router!!
