Cannot access files in shares over NFS

Yes, it is very odd indeed but I can confirm that with the PCH and ReadyNAS connected through the ZyXEL switch, the media files play fine but when they are connected through the Netgear router, they do not. DHCP or static IP doesn't seem to have an impact either.
I'm not sure about jumbo frames to be honest - I searched through the manuals for both the NAS and the router but could find no mention. Which device is this for?
I did post this issue on the Netgear router forum and mdgm did ask the question about NFS thread count on the ReadyNAS. I did find that it is set to the default (8) in case this may have any impact?
