Sorry to jump in on your post smiggy666 but I am having the same problem as you, I found this post after searching for a solution. Like you I am also computer illiterate but somehow scrape by usualyy managing to search for info and sort stuff out myself but this ones stumped me and I'm a bit buggered without access to my duo as I'm currently unemployed and need to get my cv and other things to apply for jobs.
I got myself a brand new Dell xps 17 1702x laptop yesterday(really impressed so far) with windows 7 64, I set up latest raidar and things seemed to work ok, not brilliant but ok(I have issues accessing folders on readynas if i use itunes at the same time, my itunes media is stored on readynas). My duo showed up under Network-> computers, media servers, storage and i believe homegroup(possibly).
I started up windows today and the readynas showed under computers for a while but It wouldn't let me access anything, I too was presented with the error that ' Windows cannot access \\NAS-XXXX-XXXX'
I ran diagnostics and it reported the issue
'The remote device or resource won't accept the connection
The device or resource (NAS-XXXXX-XXXXX) is not set up to accept connections on port "The File and printer sharing (SMB)"
Eventually my duo disapeared from computers but remained on media servers and storage. I can access frontview. when i use raidar to browse the readynas, raidar freezes and i have to force it to close. I didn't know what I was doing but I tried mapping a drive but got nowhere(same error as above or incorrect address). If it helps I have McAfee installed, don't know if this will cause these issues but its firewall caused me no end of problems on my old xp laptop. If i type my dou address into windows explorer it takes me to my shares on my browser(firefox).
dbott67, Below is the info you asked smiggy666 to submit, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me too. smiggy666, appologies again if i'm butting in.
