Cannot access share anymore, urgent.
The office I'm working in has a ReadyNAS Pro 2. It's worked faultlessly for ages. Recently I upgraded the firmware to 4.2.27 but after a reboot the main share we use that has all of our files on it can't be accessed any more.
From Windows Explorer we can still see the share but when clicking on it the error message "Windows cannot access \\CPP-nas\elc" appears with "The network name cannot be found" as the detail for the error with the error code 0x80070043. This is occurring on all PC's in the network. Looking up the error code on Google tells me (in some cases) I need to modify the registry on each PC in the network but I find this strange considering it was all working yesterday and it's a mixed network of Windows 7 and Vista machines.
We can still access other shares on the NAS, it's just this one main share that we use that we can't get access to anymore. The office has come to a grinding halt while I try to figure this out, all of our files are on this share and it's just not visible any more from the Windows PC's. I can access the share via AFP on a macbook with no issues, Windows sharing just seems to be broken.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The IT people who set the NAS are no longer available, my experience of the ReadyNAS is minimal and my google-fu is failing me.
