Cannot Connect to a Current Time Machine Backup Disc
I have just set my ReadyNAS Duo up for Time Machine backup on my mac.
I have deleted all other shares, as I want to use the full disc for Time Machine.
The backups seem to be happening, but I cannot access them. I keep getting the error message "Cannot Connect to a Current Time Machine Backup Disc"
I'm running RAIDiator 4.1.14 on the Duo and Yosemite on the mac.
Time Machine shows backups being done. Disc Utility shows that there is:
/volumes/ReadyNAS/iMac.sparsebundle
and
/volumes/Time Machine Backups
Time Machine backups has 1.5M files and 533GB, which is about right.
So it seems the backups are happening OK.
Any ideas how I get rid of the error messages and actually get to use Time Machine?
thanks

Latest Yosemite. - atticAspirantthe whole thing is really slow too. It's been doing a 77GB backup update since last night (via gigabit router) and still only 53GB through...
But can get to that later - first question is how to access the Time Machine without the error message...!
thanks... - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAre you doing backups over WiFi or ethernet?
What version of OS X were you running when you started doing TM backups from your Mac to the NAS? - atticAspirantIt's wired ethernet. Since starting Time Machine, I've been on Yosemite.
I've only just started doing TM backups. I was previously using the NAS as media storage as it was much bigger than my HDD. I've upgraded my HDD and then deleted the media share from the NAS and set it up as Time Machine Backup.
It seems to have worked, at least I can see the backup existing on disc utility, as per OP.
