Cannot connect via nfs, only ftp
My network has two NAs devices - a NetGear ReadyNAS 102 (2x1TB) and a STOREX (French NAs device, 1x500GB). I'm trying to configure a weekly backup of critical files from the ReadyNAS to the STOREX sy...

Is 192.168.0.50 the storex or the NAS?

That's the address of the storex. Basically with everything set like that and with ftp I can test the connection and it properly connects. Switchig to nfs, it instantly gives an error saying otherwise.
An additional problem, the backup job's continuously fail - everytime caused by a timeout. Example log here:
Cannot copy ALEXANDRE/Archives/9 clients Enercap/BNP/V2 Presentation BNP (2).ppt! Timeout was reached Cannot connect to server or connection timeout! Timeout was reached Cannot copy ALEXANDRE/Archives/9 clients Enercap/Construire_ensemble_notre_environnement_0.pdf! Failed sending data to the peer Cannot copy ALEXANDRE/Archives/9 clients Enercap/Dupont/ENERCAP - DUPONT CVM V2.pptx! Timeout was reached
That failure was on a 13.7GB backup job; hardly large enough to warrant the issue

Is shares is exported on the storex?
The timeout isn't on the entire backup job, so the overall size isn't relevant. It's a connection timeout - the destination is not responding.

On the StoreX, the direct folder path is shares/Backup. I've also tried just the address (192.168.0.50) and without a share in hopes of connecting to the root but with no luck.
The StoreX is an old device, do you think the age of it could be causing the timeout?- StephenBFeb 26, 2016Guru - Experienced User

Does anything change if you take "private" out of the path? That is, use shares/Backup
Also, does the StoreX support SMB/CIFS?

That's hard to say. It could also be a configuration issue. Are any files being transferred, or are they all timing out?
