Cannot remove folder(s) from Ready NAS
I have a ready NAS NV+, and I have a folder which I have tried to delete, but have received the message: "The operation can't be completed because the item "rrible Histories" is in use. The folder...

Here we go again...................seems to be the only ever answer when "Permissions" are concerned. The point is on should NOT have to continually do this. Its a joke and the sooner Netgear create a PROPER bit of software for permissions I will return.
I sold on my Pro4 & NVX and kept a Pro2 (for testing when VERY bored). They are a pain in the bum managing the most basic permissions (and I am a SINGLE user). There is some serious issues with Frontview & Permissions. Works one moment and not the next!
My replacement Qnap Nas's are great and don't have this problem. Its a breath of fresh air working with units that permissions work 24/7.
SOLUTION: Don't buy ReadyNas until this is resolved. I have been complaining for 3 years now about permissinon and nothing has been done NOR ever resolved. Spent many many hours troubleshooting with support. It's Disgraceful. (Not having a go at anybody here....its a Netgear issue). I have logged jobs for and to date still "Unresolved". Gave up a few months ago.
The only solution seems to be to have to reset "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders " OR Use "admin" . I have to do this weekly (and I am the only user). AM now on latest firmware and still not resolved..............tested my Pro2 the other day!
