Can't connect to NVX..a little desperate!!
Ever since i rearranged some of my network gear, the readynas doesn't allow us to connect to it. i also can't get to it in frontview, even though we are using the correct ip address. i just have...

yes the yellow port was being utilised.
could that have disrupted the nas (by removing the the router device)?
btw, in the future, if i was going to used the wr3500 as a switch again, do i just use the power input and the four ethernet ports?
on the front screen of the nas and WakeOnLan it says the nas is 192.168.5.6.
in sys. prefs.>network the main window says:
"Ethernet is active and has ip address 192.168.1.123"
also, "using dhcp",
"subnet mask 255.255.255.0",
"router (which i think in this case is the modem?) 192.168.1.1
i will try to get a long cable to the nas, otherwise i'll retrieve it (pain) and bring it closer the the imac.
when i get it connected, what do i need to do to reconfigure the ethernet so it works moving forward?
