Can't connect to ReadyNAS 102 from one computer on network
- I have 3 Windows 10 PCs on my network.
- 2 of them can connect to my ReadyNAS 102 device (firmware: 6.4.1) via \\IPAddress in file explorer and via the IP Address in a web browser
- The one that cannot connect, I installed RAIDar and it sees the device, but when I click Browse, it gives the error: "Your NetGear storage is not accessible from this computer. Please check your network settings."
- This offending computer is on Windows 10, is set to a private network type, has file and print sharing turned on, and has network discovery turned on.
- What else am I missing to check?
- Just got it working.
-go to device manager >Network Adapters
-Uninstaller all Adapters
- go to Network and Sharing
- turn off all sharing for all profiles
-reboot computer
-turn all sharing back on for all profiles
Now it works!

Is the PC in the same workgroup as your other PCs and the NAS?

The PCs are all in the same work group. Didn't know, nor could find, how you set the Workgroup of the NAS??? But since the PCs that can connect are in the same workgroup as the one that cannot, it doesn't seem like that is the issue.

Do you have the same settings re private network etc. on the other PCs?
Is the NAS in the same I.P. address range as the PC that can't connect to it?Any differences in firewall configuration between the PCs that work and the one that doesn't?
- chadwixkAspirantYes to all...but for firewall, I just turned it off for now. I did inch a little further along but disabling then re-enabling the windows feature called "SMB ...". Now I can see the ReadyNAS under media players and storage devices and I can see my smart TVs. But still can't connect in File Explorer or Web browser using the IP address.
