Can't enable SMB on RN428
I recently switched my RN428 from a RAID 6 to a RAID 0 (wiping all the data). After I did, the device wouldn't let me create my shared folders again, so I did a factory reset. I was able to create ...

Globably just means "these settings are for all shares". The alternative is to configure the SMB transport for each share in its share settings.

Required - Always encrypt the network transport (denying access if the client can't do that).
Desired - Encrypt the network when possible (if the client supports it), but allow access if the client doesn't support encrypted transport.

Disabled - never encrypt the network transport (denying access if the client requires it).
What firmware are you running?

Not sure how to read them really (below), but it looks like the system didn't like the fact that I didn't select anything for the SMB3 Transport Encryption. (Not sure why it let me click "Apply" if that preference was required.)
I selected "Enable" "Globally" and it seems to have turned on SMB now (I can now see the NAS in Windows), but I don't really know what I've done by saying "Enable" "Globally". I only access this NAS internally on my own network and don't need to encrypt anything to or from it. Translation anyone?
