Can't see NAS in network
I have two desktops. The older one is what I originally set my NAS up through and can read, write and have full control over everything from there. But the newer computer one can see the unit under storage, other devices etc but will not show up under Network to allow me any control over it.
I moved house a while ago and before this I use to be able to do everything from both computers but since then and using a new modem/router have been unable to use the newer one which i prefer to use to move and organise files around with, but the older one has control over everything still. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. I have been through set up in RAIDar and tried everything I can think of but no luck. I can access the NAS from both computers via RAIDar. Older computer is using wi-fi a few rooms away and the newer one is wired up to the router with the NAS attached to this router as well.
Hope this makes some sense and thanks in advance.

- RXLuminarySince you mentioned that the NAS is detected on RAIDar on your new computer, you could mapped the NAS IP Address to it so you could easily access the shares on your new computer.

sorry bit of an amateur when it comes to this. Do I map it throogh RAIDar frontview then? - NhellieVirtuosoopen run and type in //IP_adress_of_NAS ( ex. //192.168.1.x)
or create a shortcut and type it - mfawcett77Aspirantthanks. Will give it a try when I get home from Nightshift:) Thanks guys.
- krazydavAspirantSame issue I had. Using windows explorer, not internet, enter \\yournasname or \\nas IP, not literally of course. Yournasname should be the name you gave your nas. I suspect you will have access at that point to your shares and your nas will now be displayed under network computers. If that is the case then it is known and there is a Beta firmware to fix the issue.

What beta version is this? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI think krazydav is referring to 6.2.3 Beta 4 (http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=154&t=78866) and this fix:
17. [Beta 4] Fix SMB discovery issue when the NAS is operating as the NETBIOS master browser.
However mfawcett77's customer profile does not show any OS6 NAS units. mfawcett77 it would be helpful to know which NAS model you are using and which firmware.
