Change to RSync
Hi There! Now that I have a backup completed from my two shares to my two directories on the USB, from now on, rather than copying 2TB each day or so, I would like to just sync the changes. Could s...
On both ReadyNAS devices: Services > Standard File Protocols, go to RSYNC, check box and hit apply
Then go to Shares > click on the RSYNC for the share you want, create a username/password for use on RSYNC
Now on the destination device:
Backup > Add a new Backup Job
Step 1: "Remote: rsync server", host = ip address of readynas, set login and password
Step 2: Destination: share on the readynas
Step 3: Backup schedule, do not need to setup
Step 4:shouldn't need to modify anything
Then go to Shares > click on the RSYNC for the share you want, create a username/password for use on RSYNC
