Just to prevent confusion - you actually have a duo v1 (duo v2 runs 5.x.x firmware, not 4.1.x). The labels are confusing, read this post for a fuller explanation: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/
I think your best option is to contact support (though they will charge for data recovery). That would be via support.netgear.com.
