Connecting my Readnyas via USB or Firewire

Hi All,

I think I'm asking the impossible but I'll ask anyway, is there any way to connect my Readynas to my mac but done in such a way that it makes it look like a USB or firewire drive instead of a network share. Quite simply I'm sick to death of cloud backup solutions only allowing me to backup USB and firewire drives and really I want to be able to backup sections of my NAS too, but in order to do that my NAS has to look like a USB drive.

Is there such a tool, app, device, adapter etc etc that'll allow me to achieve this miracle ?

I see Symform is now a recognised Netgear bolt on for the NAS, has anyone had any success/issues using that ?

Many Thanks

You might want to use iSCSI. There are a few different initiators available for purchase for Mac.
