connecting readynas to readynas to switch
hey netgear friends,
my plan for the future is connecting 2x readynas 626x + 1x pc and
i would like to use the full potential of 10gbe speed but my Nighthawk SX10 switch has only 2x 10gbe nics
would it work to connect the first readynas to the second direct via 10gbe nics and then the second to the switch wich makes the 10gbe connection to the pc?
kind regards
uwe

If you do that, then you won't be able to reach the ReadyNAS that is directly connected to the second ReadyNAS.
I'd just connect one NAS as 10gbe initially (connecting the other as gigabit), and then upgrade the switch later on.
Though if one NAS is only used by the PC, you could just get two 10gbase-T cards for the PC, and directly connect that NAS to the PC.
