I am a novice of MAC, any help?
I have been trying a few things now...maybe they will be of some help. On Internet I found the way to acecss the ReadyNAS, one of the methods was this one:
-"afp://hostname/shares" So I tried to open my folder Media using my Nas hostname which is "nashome" but not luck. I verified on ReadyNAS front view and AFP is activated. Then I try using the IP address instead of the hostname and magically works. Do not understand why using the hostname it does not work. What the finder sees under Shares at the beginning is only "homenas" and when I tried to click on it it says connection failed. Might be linked to the fact that can't access using hostname but only IP address? How to fix this?
Second thing...under SHARED I see only homenas and not APS and and CIFS as explained here: http://www.readynas.com/?p=4907
Thanks a lot!
