Could not connect to volume

You can't set up FTP access of the OS partition from the dashboard. Personally I think that's a good thing, but opinions probably will vary. I am still wondering what you would do with that access - given the limited size of the OS partition, it is not a good place to save stuff.
If you are handy with ssh, you can probably go in and reconfigure the ftp server to do what you want.
