cp: cannot overwrite non-directory with directory
A similar query was raised in 2010, but did not appear to come to a conclusion. I am regularly getting problems of this kind. The most recent says in full: cp: cannot overwrite non-directory '...
I don't think that would be a real solution. The same error doesn't repeat, even though the same backups are run every day. Some days I don't see an error like that. Today I have one, but it's not the same as the one quoted earlier:
(personal data obscured) and I expect this one will go away for the next backup. It looks like a software problem to me. Is there any solution?
