Deleted files still appear on Samsung TV

I would like to purchase another Netgear NAS but a 4 bay this time, but before i do that I really need to fix this problem that has dogged this Netgear ReadyNAS Duo v2 since I had it.
I save video files on the NAS in a 'Video' folder synced with my Windows 10 PC.
I like to watch these videos on one of my two Samsung PC's
The TV menu finds the NAS finds the 'Sync' folder and the 'Video' folder, But when I look in the 'Video' folder on the TV I can see all the old deleted files!!!
These cannot be seen in Windows Explorer from a PC.
But of course they don't exist and they cannot be played or deleted from the TV.
The only way to clean up this folder is to copy all the files to a new folder on the NAS and delete the old Video folder then copy the files back to a newly created folder..... What a darn pain...
I cannot see or find a way to fix this problem and I cannot purchase a new Netgear NAS if it is going to happen with a new device.
Has anyone got a simple fix??
Have you tried disabling and re-enabling ReadyDLNA "in System/Settings" and performing a "rescan"
