Diff between 4k and 512 byte
Hi just want to know what is the diff between 4k sector and 512byte? And which is my HDD using ? I'm using 4x1TB drives on my nv+ thinking of upgrading to 4x2TB red wd drives. Or should i just bac...

Performance is better if you are 4K aligned - to do that you'd need to back up your settings, power down, and install all 4 of the new drives (labeling the slot of the old ones). Power on, and the new system will do a clean install.
Then re-install any add-ons, restore the config (in that order) and then restore the data from backup.
Note that if something goes wrong, your old RAID array still is functional. Just power down, reinsert the drives, power up and you will have the old setup back.
Thanks for the info will put in fresh HDD for 4k setup :)
