disable backup when destination no longer exists. RN102
I have several backup jobs that are enabled that backup to an external HDD. This HDD is stored off-site and is not quickly accessible. I am unable to edit the jobs so that I can disable them. How c...

I'I just tested it and reproduced the same behavior. There is nothing "wrong with the NAS".
In my opinion, this is a bug, or an annoying limitation.
1. Inserted a USB stick in the NAS.
2. Created a backup job that points to the USB stick (USB share), with scheduled enabled.
3. Ejected the USB stick from the NAS.
4. Tried to disable the schedule. I get the error "be sure to correct errors".
5. Under Destination, "Type" is in red and value is "No longer exists".
I'm running 6.7.1-T252
Workarounds I can think of: delete the job or change the destination to a USB port instead of a USB share.

I can disable it there but when I go to 'apply' the settings it displays an error window with a message "Be sure to correct errors".
There is no problem enabling/disabling jobs when the hard drive is attached, only when not connected.
Firmware version is currently 6.6.1 but this has occurred for a very long time now so would not be related to this version.

Good to know that there is no problem on my end, just poor system design. I will change my jobs to point to a port rather than a share.
Thanks to all who have contributed and to jak0lantash, who took the time to test by creating a new job.

Yup this is an annoying lack of functionality . . . it means that changing a backup scheme means creating a NEW backup job for each share.
This can be complex and prone to errors . . .
It would be nicer, easier, more user-friendly, if backup jobs could be edited.
Tx!

I suspect you can also modify the destination from local to remote, using 127.0.0.1 as the IP address.
