Pretty much. When RAIDiator 4 was introduced, the block size for new volumes was changed to 16k (16384) from 4k (4096). This new block size is used for better performance and enables online expansion.
The block size is set when the volume is created and cannot be changed. Currently there is an issue meaning that the current limit for expansion using the old block size is 5TB. Data will be inaccessible during this time. It may take a day or two.
If you try the force expansion add-on, I would still backup your data first just to be safe.
