Hi all,Thanks for your time.I have a readyNAS duo (v1). Yesterday I was in the webinterface and wanted to download the (full) logs to see if anything special was going on.I clicked "download log files" and then lost connection in the web-interface and could no longer find the device on the network.The Power button did not respond so I pulled the power cable, waited a while and plugged it back in.When I now press the power button it seems to be booting (fan, green and blue lights), but the blue light keeps slowly blinking. I waited for 24 hrs. I can ping it, but thats all. No web interface, no shares, no ssh (putty).And it doesnt repsond to the power button.I tried pulling the power plug and booting again, a couple of times, but the situation doesnt change.I've tried skipping the Volume Check part by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds (as described here http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... v_nv_x6600), but it just starts booting immediately when I push the power button.I found this post (viewtopic.php?f=64&t=42998&p=241402&hilit=duo+boot+ping#p241402). But it's not really helping. He gets more contact with his NAS at some point. I don't.. :cry: Any other pointers?Cheers,Erik

Short update:I just found out that when booting, at first, the NAS is visible in Raidar and I can connect with ssh (putty). After about 5 minutes, these connections are lost, leaving me with the ping responses and the blue blinking power button.

That could a full OS partition. Maybe try an OS reinstall (being careful not to do a factory reset).

Do I do that with the link below?http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=159I have a RAID 1 system. Would it be wise to take one of the disks out before I start this? Because I'm afraid of losing data.Is there not something I can do in the few minute time-frame when I have ssh access at the start of booting?

You could certainly look at the free space on the OS partition. If it is in fact getting full, you could try and delete logs from Frontview. DON'T attempt to download logs.

Thanks stephen.I pressed the power button, NAS switched on.Got my brief little ssh contact and went to the /var/log/frontview/backup folder. Did rm *, clearing the folder.Then did "du -k". Saw all my precious folders passing by. Somewhere in the process I got a fatal connection error, and it freezes again.Switched it off, turned it back on, same problem.Any more ideas?

Ooo, I copied them to my shared folder first.
Then deleted them.
