One option is to use linux reader (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/). Use disk 1 (it won't read disk 2), and make sure the NAS is powered down when re-inserting. This requires connecting disk 1 to a windows PC (either SATA or through a USB adapter).
You could also try powering down, and attempt to boot with disk 1 only, or disk 2 only.
